The Gallery Cafe would like to help you out with your child’s birthday or themed party. Let us take care of the planning, mess and the noise. Our function rooms are far from the dining room, with adjacent bathrooms, so you don’t have to worry about your kids, or your neighbor’s kids being loud. Here are just a couple of ideas of what we can do:
Themed birthday parties for Children
A. Sandwiches would be set up buffet style, allowing child to participate in activities while snacking. Once the activity was done, children would be served cake and ice cream. $12 per child not including tax and 20% gratuity. (Some activities may have an additional charge)
- Finger sandwiches include: Peanut butter and jelly, egg salad, or fluffernutter, served with our homemade chips
- Drinks: Soda, water, milk, cider (seasonal), apple juice or other juice, hot chocolate, tea
- Dessert : Cake and ice cream
Activities designed for children grade 3 and above. Activities will be led by Virginia Wood, who holds a masters in elementary education, as well as having spent summers as an arts and crafts camp counselor.
Super Hero – Make your own super hero mask, shield and laminated id card.
Space Explorer – paper airplane building and throwing contest, create your own planet, create a laminated id badge.
Mad Scientist – Three activities and challenges including making slime that the kids can take home, a rocket balloon challenge and tower challenge using toothpicks and cheese doodles. Prizes awarded.
Creative Kids – Using a combination of seed beads and cultured sea glass, children will make a necklace they can take home. ($5 extra to cover the cost of materials)
Gardener – Children will plant their very own indoor garden. Choose between planting flowering bulbs forced for winter bloom, or succulents in a terrarium. $15 extra per child to cover the cost of materials.
Tea Party – A sit down tea party complete with finger sandwiches, and hot cider or tea served in fine bone china. Activity will be making a layered sand votive, similar to the one pictured. $5 extra per child to cover materials.
